I personally think that high school does not set kids up for college. The reason why I think this is because I graduated with honers and everything from high school but when it came to the real adult world such as applying for colleges, financial aid, scholarships, etc... I had no clue what I was doing. It is so bad for the first generation kids because they have no one to ask. High school counselors were not much help either. Multiple question wouldn't get answered correctly or even answered at all. I feel like that is also the reason why a lot of kids don't continue their education. College is already not mandatory and there is not much resources to help us proceed to college.
